Ministry of Presence: How Showing Up Creates Unexpected Opportunities
Community Connections: How Unite San Antonio Is Bringing Christians Together

Gospel Imperative
Being consistently present where God calls us opens doors we could never imagine. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps."
The Power of Simply Showing Up
Ministry often happens in the most unexpected places and through the simplest acts of faithfulness. For me, one such act was deciding to attend a networking event.
I had been having a hard time meeting people. This challenge is not uncommon in ministry, but fortunately, God had a plan. He led me to Unite San Antonio, a Christian networking organization that brings together believers from various businesses and ministries every other week for luncheons.
These gatherings offer more than just professional networking. Approximately 45 minutes of each 90-minute meeting is dedicated to learning about different ministries and their impact in the San Antonio community. This format creates space for meaningful connections that extend far beyond business cards and handshakes.
It was through Unite San Antonio that I met Kevin, the owner of a Christian gaming venue that has now become a valuable ministry partner. This connection quickly evolved into a collaborative relationship that benefits both ministries. Kevin has not only opened his venue for FCA events but has also become a monthly financial supporter, committing to help sustain FCA's work in local schools.
Our partnership recently culminated in an FCA gaming night that brought together 30 students for an evening of gaming, Bible study, and small group discussions. The event provided a safe, faith-centered environment where students could both have fun and engage with Scripture in relevant ways.
Unite San Antonio is also preparing for their Memorial Day weekend celebration, marking the 100-year anniversary of San Antonio's first comic revival. Events like this strengthen the bonds between Christian organizations and create additional opportunities for ministry collaboration.
This growing network of relationships demonstrates the ripple effect that occurs when ministry leaders simply show up consistently in community spaces. These connections are enhancing FCA's ability to reach students through partnerships with organizations like The Tournament San Antonio and other community initiatives.
By supporting my ministry with FCA, you're not just investing in school campuses—you're helping build bridges throughout the entire San Antonio Christian community that multiply ministry impact for eternity.
